I expected to have most of the modifications done to my 335i by now but it’s taken a bit longer than expected. Since I posted last, I’ve gotten the suspension dialed in where I want it: raised the ride height a bit as well as stiffened up the compression/rebound on the dampers. I had a Kerscher Spirit front bumper and splitter installed as well as a rear spoiler (OEM clone). I’m still missing the tow hook cover for the front end. I actually got one painted and ready to go and then managed to push the little cover right thru the hole and it’s sitting inside the bumper now! I’ve got to get that taken care of and also getting the LUX angel eyes installed sometime soon. I’ll take some before and after pictures of the angel eye LED replacements as soon as I get the remaining work done. I used Daniel Cook over at Transparent Bra again to get a clear bra put on the front end to keep things neat and tidy!

I may have gotten too aggressive on the rear tire width 🙂

I got my BMW 335i a few weeks back. As I said before, I used CarsDirect and couldn’t be happier.
The BMW 335i is an amazing machine! So far, I’d say it compares quite favorably to my previous Audi S4. Though the BMW’s engine is rated lower for HP and Torque, it’s every bit as fast especially as it’s lighter. It’s taking a bit to get used to driving RWD again since I had Quattro for the last three years.
And, I still have the modding bug. I started with new rims and KW coilovers. I’ll be putting on a Kerscher front end sometime soon. I haven’t had a chance to take good pictures yet but will do so soon. Till then here are some teasers.

Another Audi enthusiast put up this great picture gallery site of different styles of rims on B6 Audis. Where was this when I was picking my rims??

I decided I had to have 19″ rims. I really like my 18″ Oettinger RZs, but because of the rivets it just makes the rims look really small. I saw that a number of manufacturers were making OEM-style RS4 rims, so I bought a set from Hartmann Wheels. I ended up using Falken tires, so far so good.
I bought 19″ RS4 replicas from Hartmann Wheels. I had to buy OEM center caps from Audi (Part No. 4B0-601-170-A-7ZJ, Wheel Cap, $17.73 ea).
