I expected to have most of the modifications done to my 335i by now but it’s taken a bit longer than expected. Since I posted last, I’ve gotten the suspension dialed in where I want it: raised the ride height a bit as well as stiffened up the compression/rebound on the dampers. I had a Kerscher Spirit front bumper and splitter installed as well as a rear spoiler (OEM clone). I’m still missing the tow hook cover for the front end. I actually got one painted and ready to go and then managed to push the little cover right thru the hole and it’s sitting inside the bumper now! I’ve got to get that taken care of and also getting the LUX angel eyes installed sometime soon. I’ll take some before and after pictures of the angel eye LED replacements as soon as I get the remaining work done. I used Daniel Cook over at Transparent Bra again to get a clear bra put on the front end to keep things neat and tidy!

I got my BMW 335i a few weeks back. As I said before, I used CarsDirect and couldn’t be happier.
The BMW 335i is an amazing machine! So far, I’d say it compares quite favorably to my previous Audi S4. Though the BMW’s engine is rated lower for HP and Torque, it’s every bit as fast especially as it’s lighter. It’s taking a bit to get used to driving RWD again since I had Quattro for the last three years.
And, I still have the modding bug. I started with new rims and KW coilovers. I’ll be putting on a Kerscher front end sometime soon. I haven’t had a chance to take good pictures yet but will do so soon. Till then here are some teasers.

Had the car raised a bit, made a big difference. Got about 1″ clearance all the way around. Much smoother at highway speeds and not as much worry about scraping the front.

Roko over at Topline installed the Tein Basic Coilovers and Oettinger front grille that I ordered. I got the Tein’s from Eurocode Tuning. Topline ordered the grille from CEC Wheels and then painted the slats to match my color. I also got the Neuspeed rear sway installed.
So far I really like the ride though the Tein’s are a little lower than I’d like. I’m going to go back in a week to get the ride height increased a bit, which will require another alignment.
At this height, the ride feels a little harsher than stock though a lot tighter in turns. The rear sway definitely makes a difference as I don’t feel like the front end is plowing through turns anymore (then again could just be the COs).
