BMW 335i has a conservative HP rating?

August 23rd, 2006

Automobile Magazine was so impressed with the new 2007 BMW 335i coupe (E92) that they slapped it on a DynoJet and are guessing that engine is pulling close to 350hp/360 lb-ft torque instead of the rated 300hp. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the new M3 but now I’m wondering what tuners will do with this twin-turbo engine. I believe the 335i will come out in sedan form soon (I’ve got a preference for sedans) and it might be even more fun to tune than buying an M3 stock. We’ll see what happens, the Audi RS4 has really upped the ante for BMW!
