Building a new PC (Shuttle SD37P2)

August 18th, 2006

Shuttle SD37P2I’ve had my current Shuttle XPC for nearly 4 years and it’s definitely showing it’s age. I’ve holding off because I want to upgrade to Windows Vista but who knows when that is going to happen. Most likely I’m going to get a Shuttle SD37P2 which can handle the new Intel Core 2 Duo processors. I was originally thinking of getting an Athlon X2 but it seems like AMD has been left behind in the dust for now. I’ll post updates as I start acquiring hardware. Right now, I’m thinking 2GB of RAM, 500-600GB of HD space with two drives in RAID 0 and a good Nvidia 7900 of 7950 graphics card.
